Brett Favre isn’t the only member of the family who can tell a good story.
On Monday night’s episode of “Claim to Fame,” his oldest daughter, Brittany, outed him on national television as being “cheap” but in an endearing dad-daughter way.
During a conversation with Logan, her closest ally on the ABC reality show that challenges 12 celebrity relatives living in the same house to conceal their identities from one another, she offered up some humorous insight into the retired Green Bay Packers quarterback who grew up in Kiln, Mississippi.
“My relative, regardless of like paycheck, is really cheap. He grew up with absolutely nothing,” Brittany told Logan.
“So he had this old Chevy that he loved and the muffler fell off. He just chained it to the bumper. So my dad’s taking me to school, and so every time we hit a speed bump, there was this loud, horrible scraping sound and sparks flying in all directions. So by the time I get to the front of the line, they’re like, ‘Your dad can’t afford to fix his truck?'”
You can practically see Brett breaking out in a big grin at home while watching, can’t you?
“He’s still that way,” Brittany says.
Logan, like most of the other contestants, already had a pretty good idea that legendary No. 4 is her celebrity connection (and she confirmed it to viewers last week), but the anecdote helped solidify his hunch.
“I still think it’s Brett Favre,” he said. “I mean, from the South. You can take the boy out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the boy.”
